Sat 04/08/2017 Kettle Krush 5K Norfolk, VA (Harbor Park) 8:00 a.m. The Kettle Krush 5k is a great race on a fun and scenic course. Racers run along the beautiful Norfolk water front, winding through the park and then near the turnaround pass the majestic Battleship Wisconsin. The back of the course is less scenic so the epic finish inside the baseball stadium rewards runners for their determination. Entering onto the warning track by right field is an awesome experience. The size of the stadium, the blue seats contrasting with the green grass, the sounds of music and voices cheering make for a surprising and exhilarating experience. Around left field and down the first base line are home plate and the finish line. The day's events include a 1K Fun Run, and an opportunity to see the Norfolk Tides MLB on opening weekend.
