Thu 07/06/2017 Summer XC Series #1 Lake Shore, MD (Chesapeake High School) 6:30 p.m. All summer XC 5K races are free & open to the public. A waiver must be signed prior to competing, and runners under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver as well. Registration begins at 6 p.m., and the race will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Starting Thursday July 6, there will be five (5) Thursday XC races. Please check the Annapolis Striders Facebook Group for cancellations before each race in case of inclement (excessive heat) weather.

Kelly was 32 when she passed away from complications due to Cystic Fibrosis. She swam competitively on UD’s swim team during her 4 years there as a student. The swimming-student athlete would display characteristics such as courage, spirit, determination, strength, competitiveness & inspiration.

Sat 07/08/2017 Summer Extravaganza 10K/5K Warrenton, VA (Ridgeview Park) 8:00 a.m. The Summer Extravaganza 5K & 10K offer a challenging run through the beautiful neighborhoods of our city, race day t-shirt, fully stocked aid stations, and a post-race party with food & drink. After the race stay for the party! Enjoy a day full of fun at the Summer Extravaganza festivities including vendors, rides, bands, and fireworks to end the night. Part of the race proceeds at this years race will be supporting the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. This puts the race just a few blocks from the US Capitol and walking distance from the NY Avenue and Convention Center metro stops. The race has 12, 1 Mile heats for all paces and ages. Wed 07/19/2017 Tidal Basin Runs - 1500M, 3K, & 5K Washington, DC (Hains Point, East Potomac Park) 12:00 p.m. Tidal Basin Runs are free training runs for fun and fitness on the third Wednesday of each month. 1500 meters (0.93 miles) at 12:00 noon, followed by 3000 meters (1.86 miles) and 5000 meters (3.11 miles) at 12:15 p.m. Although the monthly runs are informal and free, we record and report results on-line and to RacePacket, and Washington Running Report.
