Description: Join us at Cunningham Falls State Park on November 1st for the first Annual Friends 5k! Get early access to the park and take part in our 5k, stroller-friendly fun run, or bring the kids along for the tot trot. Sleep in the night before under the stars and wake rested for your race! Enjoy the full beauty and benefits of Cunningham Falls State Park and this unique destination race by taking advantage of our Camp-and-Run option! Call the park office at 301-271-7574 to reserve your October 31/Nov 1 campsite slot. Are you a local business, road running supporter, or someone who would like to show your support for Cunningham Falls State Park, but doesn't feel up to running or walking on Nov. 1? The Friends of Cunningham Falls and Gambrill State Parks invites you to participate as a sponsor in our Inaugural Friends 5k! This event is open to everyone who loves the outdoors or just loves to run. There are four levels of sponsorship. We know one will be right for you: Turtle - $100-$249 will mention your business in the race day materials packet. This will be an outstanding investment in your community and a terrific way to advertise your business. As a sponsor in the Owl, Hawk or Eagle levels, you will have your logo printed on the runner's t-shirts for everyone to see throughout the race and obviously for a long time afterward everywhere in the community. It will be a constant reminder of your community spirit. The Friends is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization whose mission is to generate financial support for these two parks. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. The proceeds will be used for improvements in the parks like safety equipment, new boat motors, trail maintenance and tree plantings. Sponsorship Opportunities
Owl - $250-$499 includes the Turtle level and will display your business logo on the t-shirts.
Hawk - $500-$999 includes the Turtle & Owl levels & event space for promoting your business.
Eagle - $1,000+ includes the Turtle, Owl and Hawk levels plus special recognition on race day.

Tot-Trot: 8:45am Start - A sprint for the youngsters!
Fun Run/Walk: 9:00am Start - A paved 1.3-mile stroller-friendly event near Hunting Creek Lake and Cunningham Falls.
5K: 9:00am Start – Challenging, paved course near scenic 44-acre Hunting Creek Lake in Cunningham Falls Park’s Houck Area.
