Army Ten-Miler (ATM) officials announced that a special online, military lottery will be conducted from August 1-15, 2012. All U.S. service members are eligible and must use a ".mil" address to register for the military lottery. Lottery registration will be conducted at www.armytenmiler.com and 500 lottery winners will be randomly selected by a computer generated drawing on August 16, 2012.

Registrants will be required to enter a valid credit card but the registration fee will not be charged unless the registrant is selected. Between August 16-20th, all registrants will receive an e-mail notification stating whether they were selected or not selected. The names of the runners that are chosen will also be posted in the online searchable database on the Army Ten-Miler confirmation page by August 20. If unable to run, winners may transfer their registration thru the ATM Transfer Program until August 31.

"The race sold out in less than 48 hours in May so this gives U.S. Service members another opportunity to participate in the Army's race," commented Jim Vandak, Race Director.
