Congratulations to F.I.T. (Female In Training) program members who were present at todays race on one of the Striders hilliest courses. Kerrie Bowes broke her own course record in the 2 mile event. Matt Skaggs was only 1 second off of the men's course record set in 1997. Matt could have easily kicked harder at the end, had he known. Julie Thienel broke her own course record in the 5K but couldn't catch the new record holder, Carrie Selmer. Eight year old, Eric D'amico (36th, 5K), ran a great race keeping Judith Weber behind him until the end. Awards were presented to spring series winners. The seventy nine person field was the largest in recent years.
