Although the pavement dampened enough that Jennifer erected her tent over the registration area, the rain did not develop. The temperature was ideal for the spectators. We barely stayed within our 100-person estimate of runners and had a well balanced spread over the 2 distances and sexes. The number of runners, especially women, who wanted to run 2 loops of the course was impressive. Your race director, newly eligible for the 70-year group, was quite intimidated by the quantity and quality of the 5K performances in that group. Again we thank our volunteers, Kate DeAngelis, Jennifer Stephens, Sharon Good, Don Riggs, Larry Dickerson, and Cliff Dewitt, who come out race after race to make this happen.
