The 36th annual Greenbelt Holiday 10 and 20 mile races were held on
Saturday January 8, 2000 under sunny skies with seasonable temperatures
in the 40ıs. This brought a large turnout for the testing , hilly
course.
In the 20 mile race, Jim Hage led everyone all the way ( including
the 10 milers!) to an easy win in 1:57:09. Kimberly Markland was the
womenıs champion, finishing 4th overall in a time of 2:09:23.
In the 10 mile race, Ted Poulos was a repeat winner in 60:07 while
Sharon Servidio led the women( 6th overall) in a time of 63:06.
