I am delighted and excited to endorse your candidacy for chairman of the Arlington County Democratic Committee.

During my ten years as an Arlington precinct captain, I admired the skill with which you ensured that the Committee fulfilled every legal prerequisite while helping to maintain our spirit and commitment to egalitarian and inclusive values. At the monthly meetings of the County Committee, "firehouse" primaries, and conventions at the Eighth District and Commonwealth-wide level, you ensured that Arlington Democrats followed the rules, remained united, and expressed our progressive commitments in action.

I have worked with Bob for years, including twice on the 8th District Resolutions Committee. He is well-versed on policy issues and can handle situations involving people with strongly-held conflicting views.

As we move toward the November elections, your great energy and legal erudition will enable you to build on Peter Rousselot's achievements to prepare us Arlington Democrats to reverse recent setbacks in statewide elections and vindicate the principles for which we have always stood firm.
