With temperatures approaching 90 degrees and the sun beating down relentlessly on Hains Point, an unsurprisingly small field turned up for the 450th edition of the monthly (and now rather misnamed!) Tidal Basin Runs. As usual, Ted Poulos put the beatdown on Peter Blank in the 1500, while Karsten Brown and Anna Russell were the 3K winners. Dee Nelson ran the race in memory of her daughter, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this month at the too-young age of 41.
The next free monthly races will be held on Wednesday, August 17, starting at noon near the end of Hains Point.
